What's inside the guide
A balanced mix of must-dos and hidden gems not yet known to mainstream tourists, and exactly how to shoot them.
"There are plenty of travel guides for Japan on the market, but most aren't tailored for photography. These guides are exceptionally well written, with valuable insights specifically for photographers."

This is the real Kyoto
As someone who actually lives in Japan and returns to Kyoto multiple times per year, every single year, for the sole purpose of taking images, let me show you the real Kyoto.
There are over 1600 temples in Kyoto. Many of them are absolute must-dos at least once in your life, and many of them are hidden gems not yet known to mainstream tourists. This guide is a balanced mix of both.
"What a beautiful way to prepare for a trip to Kyoto. Gorgeous pictures illustrate where you need to go and insightful descriptions tell you how and when to get there and what to do there. This book is an adventure itself."

A mix of hidden gems and essentials
A balanced mix of worthwhile and uncommon locations, with other regions of Kansai included for your day trips.
Covers all the little details only a local would know: location descriptions, photography notes, suggested styles, tripod and drone usage, best times to shoot, prices, open hours, addresses and websites.

Additional information
Are there similar entries across the 3 guides?
All 3 of my eBooks are designed to be individual experiences that stand on their own depending on where you're travelling. In the case of this Photography Guide to Kyoto, all of the entries for Kansai in the Photography Guide to Japan are also covered in this book, which means only 15 locations of the 50 in this book are covered by both books. These duplicates are a minority, and nowhere near a third of the experience.
Is there a printed version of this book?
I designed all my eBooks to be mobile-optimised, so you have the best experience reading on your device and can bring the book along while you travel. The formatting doesn't really work for print, so no, there is not, and will never be, a printed version. Sorry about that.
Can I share the book with someone else?
These eBooks are many years in the making. They've taken me thousands of hours to put together, and tens of thousands of dollars to finance on my own. I'm a solo creator who runs a small business by myself, so I appreciate any support you can give by purchasing one copy per person. Thank you.
Never wonder where to shoot in Kyoto again
One great image from this guide pays for it. So does one saved morning of aimless wandering. $49, yours forever.
